I also went to the Besant Nagar Beach on the 1st. They were not allowing people on to the sand. Besant Nagar has somehow escaped the tsumanis. Not much of a damage
done to any of the structures there...
Could'nt take snaps as I was not allowed inside...
Kathik, if you have any, post it da!!

Hi Manoj,
Besant Nagar beach is looking almost the same as Marina as far as the crowd movement is concerned. I had been to the Elliots beach yesterday evening and
could hardly see anyone in the sand. I could see well disciplined crowd not crossing the pavement. The place as such is intact with teenagers and oldies.
All the houses opposite to the beach are the same including the skating ring.
Will post the pics soon..

Looks like they are hastily trying to 'clean up' the perimeter. While my heart goes out to the hut-dwellers who lived on Marina beach, I hope the authorities never allow any more huts to come up on the beach.
One request, can you post photos of Elliots Beach, the the houses opposite, the skating ring on the beach, etc? It has been a long time since I visited those places and would like to know what they look like after the tsunami.
